NOTE: An SUV of 1 indicates uniform distribution of the radiotracer in the tissue. An SUV greater than 2.5 can be associated with cancer. Many factors can affect the reliability of SUVs. The values are often used as a guide to interpretation rather than as absolute values.
Important: The default value in the image view is SUV Body Weight.
To select SUV:
Right-click the dynamic annotation in the bottom right corner. The default text for the annotation is SUV-BW.
Select the desired SUV from the drop-down menu.
The options are:
Pixels
Percentage of Max Range
SUV-Body Weight
SUV-Body Surface Area
SUV-Lean Body Mass (also known as SUL)
NOTE: SUV - Body Weight is the most commonly used SUV.
